An insight visit is an extremely valuable experience for a young person, not only increasing their knowledge of the variety of job roles and career paths available to them but also helping them to see the value and relevance of their learning at school.
It can also be beneficial to the host organisation. It provides an opportunity to promote your company and sector and is an excellent way for your employees (and STEM Ambassadors) to develop their professional skills (e.g. presentation and communication skills).
An insight visit can be designed to suit you and your workplace. Even if it is just for a couple of hours, getting to visit an office space, workshop, laboratory or factory, meeting a few employees and being able to ask a few questions can be a life-changing experience for a young person.
